Maria, working as a novice sister at the city church, lived happily with the orphans under the care of the Priest.

However, one evening, the city’s Lord visits the church demanding that a debt be repaid. By the time Maria learns that the Priest had taken out a massive loan, the Priest has already vanished.

Learning of the Priest’s disappearance, the Lord attempts to seize the church in its place. To protect the home of the orphans, Maria pleads with him, and the Lord demands that Maria repay the debt in the Priest’s stead.
