The Kingdom of Minerva was troubled every year by the winter offensives launched by its neighboring country, Valkland.
To deal with this year’s winter offensive, the King of Minerva dispatched a knight order led by his daughter, Princess Lydia.
However, although Lydia was the commander of the knight order, she lacked the strength to truly fulfill the role. While she managed to drive back Valkland’s forces, the battle resulted in many deaths and injuries. In her arrogance, Lydia ignored the tragic state of her troops and instead celebrated her first campaign’s “success” by holding a feast on the battlefield.
During the feast, the Valkland army launched a surprise night raid on the Minerva encampment. Caught off guard, the Minerva knights were swiftly defeated, and Lydia was captured by the enemy. In front of the assembled Valkland soldiers, she was violated by the enemy commander, and afterwards subjected to repeated assaults by the surrounding troops until she lost consciousness.
When Lydia awoke, she found herself inside a mysterious fortress where Valkland was conducting strange experiments. While she had been unconscious, a curse known as the “Pregnant Belly Curse” had been cast upon her, causing amniotic fluid to regularly accumulate in her womb. As a mark of this curse, a strange uterine-shaped pattern had appeared on her lower abdomen.
Now a prisoner, Lydia endured interrogation while plotting her escape. Cursed to repeatedly suffer a swollen belly, she sought to break the curse while uncovering the fortress’s dark secrets in her desperate attempt to escape.
