DESCRIPTION
A five-day story of confronting Hikari, an older-generation android.
In a near future where AI and machines support much of life, and humans “choose to work,” the protagonist returns to his childhood home for the first time in a year and is greeted by Hikari Amamiya, an older-generation android who has been by his side like an older sister since childhood.
The house is the same as before.
Her smile is the same as before.
However, Hikari’s body is slowly reaching its limits.
“Let’s go to the hospital and fix your body,” the protagonist says, but for some reason, Hikari stubbornly shakes her head.
Then, throwing her increasingly frail body aside, she mentions the “rule of commands” that had always existed between them.
“Well then, let’s play rock-paper-scissors. If I win, I’ll do what you say.”
Rock-paper-scissors isn’t a command.
It’s the winner’s right.
That rule, which once defined the distance between them, transforms into a justification for their desires and indulgences, triggered by their reunion. Why doesn’t Hikari try to heal her body, even though it can be fixed?
Why do the two of them cling to the rules of rock-paper-scissors?
This isn’t just a story about making Hikari do what they want; it’s five days spent trying to find an answer to their ambiguous relationship.
