Due to genetic traits, the power of exorcism almost exclusively manifests in women. If a man with this power is ever discovered, it is said that any child sired by him would give rise to the ultimate bloodline of exorcists.

The protagonist, Yu, is one such extremely rare male who possesses this power. He is deeply in love with Shion, a woman working within the Exorcist Organization, but she herself possesses very little talent as an exorcist.

Tsukiren, the head of the organization and Yu’s foster mother—who rescued him from a demon attack as a child and recognized his potential—adamantly opposes their union.

After much deliberation, Tsukiren sets a trial for Yu. He must complete a mission alongside the mother and daughter of the Kamishiro family, a powerful and influential exorcist lineage. If he can complete the mission without incident, his marriage to Shion will be permitted.

Yu accepts the trial, undergoes the necessary preparations, and awaits the mother and daughter. Even though it’s a long-term mission with strangers, he is certain his love for Shion will never waver.
