Apathy.
Without hope or meaning in life, I simply get through each day.
I was waiting for the train on the platform to head to work, a place I didn’t even want to go to.
The train glided in with an ear-splitting brake sound.
The doors opened, and I boarded the train, jostling with the crowd of passengers.
That’s when I spotted a woman.
A woman was standing near the door, head bowed, smartphone in one hand.
Her small hands gripping the banister…her pale, slender neck…her soft-looking nape…
–I want to be comforted.
The moment I saw her, those words fell silent in my mind.
The more I stared, the more lust built up inside me.
And then I suddenly realized that I wasn’t apathetic right now.
–I want her to acknowledge my existence.
–I want to change these meaningless, hopeless days.
–I want to…do this with her.
I found my hands slowly reaching out toward her body…
